Curtis Anthony Cain, Ph.D.

Curtis is the Superintendent of Schools in the Wentzville School District.  He is responsible for the educational performance and well-being of close to 16,000 students and the productivity of our 2,200 staff members in the fastest growing district in the state of Missouri.

Curtis completed his B.S. degree at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and his M.S. and Ph.D. at Iowa State University. In 2016, he was named New Superintendent of Schools Award winner by the Missouri Association of School Administrators.

Cain’s teaching experience spans grades seven through the university level with an emphasis on the social sciences, performance evaluation, and issues related to disparity and diversity. Cain, an associate lead auditor with Curriculum Management System Incorporated (CMSi), has served on audits across 11 states and in Bermuda.

Curtis is a member of the Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) Emerging Leader program and also serves on the Missouri Commissioner of Education Advisory Council, the Kansas/Missouri Superintendent Leadership Forum Advisory Board, and the Missouri Association of School Administrators Executive Board.

Curtis was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he attended Milwaukee Public Schools and is a graduate of Rufus King High School.
