Eve Proffitt Award

This special project grant is to fund projects that “pay it forward in education” by addressing an educational topic through an innovative method or development of an innovative solution.  Of particular interest would be projects that address teacher leadership with student achievement, implementation of common core, or STEM.  Projects that address the needs of marginalized populations may receive special consideration.

Amount of Grant – $2,500

Applications will open November 2015. Recipients will have one year to complete the project.

Eligibility – Applicants must be a PDK Emerging Leader in good standing.

Submission Requirements – Applicants must submit the following:

  • Completed online application form.
  • Proposal – This special project grant is to fund projects that “pay it forward in education” by addressing an educational topic through an innovative method or development of an innovative solution.  Of particular interest would be projects that address teacher leadership with student achievement, implementation of common core, or STEM.  Projects that address the needs of marginalized populations may receive special consideration. (The proposal is not to be part of a dissertation but rather a project that has merit dealing with the topic under the proposal section of this announcement.)
  • Submit a budget which explains how the funds will be utilized. The recipient will also need to submit a final expenditure report based on the original budget.
  • Explain how the results of this special project grant will be disseminated.
