Lisa Stooksberry is Deputy Executive Director at the National Assessment Governing Board. In this role, shesupports the board’s congressional mandate to set policy for The Nation’s Report Card. Previously, Stooksberry served as senior vice president for standards and assessment at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards where she oversaw the National Board Certification program, a voluntary standards- and performance-based measure of accomplished teaching. A former teacher in Madison County, Alabama, Stooksberry later served on faculty at Mississippi State University. A graduate of the University of North Alabama and University of Alabama at Birmingham, Stooksberry holds a doctorate from Vanderbilt University
